Summer Reading Tips
Tip # 1 -- You can shorten your note-taking load this summer by skipping the vocabulary terms you already are familiar with. For example, 'Christopher Columbus' in chapter one or 'John Smith' in chapter two might be historical figures that you already know well, so feel free to skip the writing out of those definitions. Make sure that you define at least half to two-thirds of the terms, and realize that you are responsible for knowing all of the terms and people on the list!
Tip #2 -- Try out the website of the textbook! It contains chapter summaries, practice quizzes, flash cards, and mini-lectures on each chapter. check it out at www.cengage.com/history/kenney/ampageant14e.
